Charging that skips your building.

Curbstar’s patented design delivers the same EV charging service as building-fed chargers for about half the cost to deploy.

Feed the chargers from the transformer. Leave the building alone.

Most site plans feed EV chargers from the nearest building. It looks tidy on the drawing. In the field it means a bigger service, bigger feeders, more panel space, and a conduit run from the electrical room out across the lot.

Curbstar pedestals take service straight from the utility transformer through their own meter and main. On many multifamily and commercial sites the transformer already sits near the parking, so the run is short and the building's electrical design doesn't change.

~$15K saved per pedestal

That’s the typical savings for each pedestal deployed, compared with feeding chargers from the building.

Why pay someone to redo electrical upgrades you already paid for?

Building upgrades for EV charging are sunk costs, and when needs change they sometimes have to be ripped out and replaced. Over the life of a building that adds up. With Curbstar, you never hire an electrician to undo the work the last electrician did. Your building’s electricals... never even touched.

Add charging at any stage

Building-fed charging has to be designed into the building’s electrical plan from day one, or added later with costly change orders. Curbstar doesn’t depend on the building’s service, so you can add it at design, mid-construction, or years after occupancy.

Your GC, our coordination

We sell the hardware and run the network. Your preferred GC installs it, and we help coordinate the project with them and the utility.
